Player Affiliation Rules

2014-03-05

Please be aware that as we approach the end of the season it is very important that Parents and Coaches are diligent regarding the use of their child as an affiliated player and that no player is used as an AP more than 10 times across the association.

This 10 games is in total,  and does not apply per affiliated team.

Hockey Canada rule 35e states the following and any violation of this will result in an indefinite suspension of the the player and both coaches until an ODMHA D&A hearing.

-

E35. a) A player of a team of a lower Division or category of the same club, or of an affiliated team, or a specially affiliated player, may affiliate to a team or teams of higher Divisions and categories at any time, to a maximum of ten (10) games. However, if the player’s registered team completes its regular season and playoffs before the player’s affiliated team or teams, the player may thereafter affiliate an unlimited number of times. For goaltender exceptions see Hockey Canada Regulations B.42, E.36 (b).
