Hello and welcome to the 2024/2025 U10 RAMS season!
My name is Shawn Cation, and I am incredibly honored
and excited to have been named the U10 RAMS competitive "B" Head
Coach.
First, I
would like to welcome you all to competitive hockey, and the tryout process, as
this is the first opportunity for the 2015 born players to experience a
competitive hockey environment, within the Stittsville RAMS association. This
season will follow Hockey Canada's Pathways program, with a focus on team/
skill development, in a fun and safe environment. I encourage all 2015 born
players with a desire to play competitive hockey to attend the tryouts.
The
association has scheduled tryouts for early September and have ensured a fair
and unbiased process with independent evaluators, as all players registered will
have equal opportunity to make the team.
During the tryouts, players will be assessed on their skating, shooting,
and passing, along with essential qualities such as work ethic, attitude, focus
and team play.
Our U10
coaching staff will be focused on creating a positive team culture with a team
first attitude. I believe that through
our team environment, individual dedication and ambition, our kids will not
only develop on the ice, but they will also build life skills along the
way. As head coach I am looking for skilled
players that have a tireless work ethic, competitive spirit, a team first
mentality and ones that are ready to maximize everyday we are together. The coaching staff will be determined after
the team is set.
Competitive
hockey demands a commitment from players and parents, with an expectation of committing
at least 3-5 days per week to the team. Attendance for team activities,
including games, practices, off-ice training, community events, and fundraising
will be mandatory.
Expected
Fees for this season will be $1,400 ($900 RAMS fee plus $500 team fee) in
addition to the SMHA registration fee.
Sponsorship and fundraising will be needed to ensure a successful
season.

· Stittsville RAMS Day: Sat, Nov 2nd (All
Rams Rep B teams play this day)
· League Christmas break: Dec 23rd – Jan 3rd
· League Regular Season End Date: Feb 13th
· Playoffs dates – Feb 15th – Mar 21st

ON)
