Welcome to the 2024-25 hockey season!
Welcome to the 2024-25 hockey season and the opportunity for players born in 2008 to play competitive hockey for the Stittsville U18 (BLACK) Rams this season.
My name is Craig Bowditch, and I am honoured to be able to coach this age group and excited for the season ahead. I’m also, very happy to also announce both Dave Nicholson and Scott Bradley will be back behind the bench as well. With our 50+ years of combined Minor Hockey Coaching Experience we look forward to a very fun & rewarding season for the players both on and off the ice.
Tryouts will consist of 3-4 non-parent evaluators plus 2 assigned SMHA evaluators. Evaluators will be looking for skilled, determined, hard-working and coachable players who display positive attitudes and sportsmanship while playing a complete game. Relentless compete and a strong hockey IQ will be high on the list of attributes we will be looking for.
Players and parents should be ready to commit to 3 - 4 sessions per week throughout the season. This team will need to be the player’s top priority when it comes to extra-curricular activities to ensure a successful season both and on and off the ice. Attendance for all team activities will be mandatory.
We realize how important School, and jobs are in Grade 11 and will look to do everything we can to ensure the players are taking care of ALL their schedules/commitments throughout the season to ensure they have as successful a season as they can. As in years past, practice times should be known 4-8 weeks in advance, along with the tournament and regular season schedule being set by the start of the season.
Expected Fees for this season will be $1,400 ($900 RAMS fee plus $500 team fee) in addition to the SMHA registration fee. Sponsorship and fundraising will be needed to ensure a successful season.

Stittsville RAMS Day: Sat, Nov 2nd
League Christmas break: Dec 23rd – Jan 3rd (6pm)
League Regular Season End Date: Feb 6th
Play-offs Round 1 Start Date: Feb 8th

1. Oct 25-27 – Volunteer Cup (Richcraft)
2. Nov 22-24 (Pelham) - Regional Silver Stick
3. Nov 29 – Dec 1 – Rams Mid-Season Showdown (Bell Sensplex)
4. Jan 17-19th - Oakville Winter Classic
PLEASE NOTE: If the team is successful in winning the Regional Silver Stick tournament, then the team will also attend the International Silver Stick tournament January 17-19th in Sarnia, and pullout of the Oakville Winter Classic.
