Stittsville Crashers Shine at U7 Fun Day Tournament
The Stittsville Crashers took to the ice for their first U7 Fun Day in Kemptville, and what a day it was! From the first puck drop to the final buzzer, the kids brought enthusiasm, determination, and smiles that lit up the rink.

The day kicked off bright and early as the Crashers faced off against the Kemptville Royals. Despite the frosty morning, the team’s energy warmed the arena. The kids worked hard to move the puck, cheering each other on and celebrating every goal. With line changes every 1.5 minutes, the players had plenty of time to showcase their skills, including some excellent teamwork and a few epic passes. It was a fast-paced start to the day and set the tone for what was to come.

After a quick breather and some bonding in the dressing room, the Crashers took to the ice to challenge another Kemptville Royals team. This game was all about hustle, as the kids skated their hearts out and found clever ways to get the puck in the net. Every kid gave their all, and the game ended with high-fives, laughter, and a growing sense of camaraderie.

By the time the Crashers hit the ice for their final game against the Metcalfe Jets, the kids were starting to feel the effects of their full day of hockey. Tired legs didn’t stop them from giving it their all, though. They showed incredible perseverance, skating hard and keeping their heads up despite the long day.

The fun wasn’t just on the ice! Crashers’ parents brought their own winning streak to the fun day, walking away with a raffle basket and the 50/50 draw. The excitement in the stands matched the energy on the ice, with parents cheering loudly and helping keep the day lighthearted and fun.

The Stittsville Crashers walked away from the U7 Fun Day with more than just participation medals—they left with memories, new friendships, and a growing love for the game. Days like this remind us why hockey is about so much more than the final score; it’s about teamwork, growth, and, most importantly, having fun.

A special shoutout goes to the Crashers’ coaching staff, who not only kept the kids motivated all day but also put in the extra effort to literally lift the players on and off the ice! Their dedication, patience, and sense of humor kept things running smoothly and ensured that every child felt supported both on and off the rink.

And the fun’s not over yet! The Crashers are gearing up for another Fun Day this weekend—stay tuned for more exciting moments! Go Crashers, go!
