Welcome to the 2025-2026 Season!
Hi everyone,
My name is Greg Shouldice, and I’m excited to have been given the opportunity
to coach the U14 Rams for the upcoming season.
A little bit about myself for those that don’t know me: I have lived in Stittsville all my life and I grew up playing hockey for the Rams Rep program. I currently play in the Stittsville Men’s Hockey League and have been involved with coaching for the past 17 years as a head coach or assistant coach for both house league and competitive hockey between SMHA and KGHA.
My 5 coaching values are:
· FUN - #1 requirement every day, each practice, and game.
· RESPECT – for your teammates, coaches, parents, officials, and the opposing team.
· ACCOUNTABILITY – whether it be a practice or a game I expect an attentive team always being accountable for your work ethic & attitude with your teammates and coaches.
· COMPETE – “show up” and play with speed, heart, and determination every time on the ice.
· POSITIVITY - no matter the results, we stay focused on improving our skills in practices and working toward game success each time on the ice.
I would like to encourage all players born in 2012 to tryout for the U14 Rams. Conditioning sessions begin on September 2nd and tryouts start on September 11th/12th. The tryouts will include scrimmages, and exhibition games. Their will be non-parent evaluators that I have selected to assist in choosing a team that is comprised of athletes that demonstrate the values I outlined above.
I will expect full commitment throughout the season from all athletes for practices, games, and any other team events. All of which will be done in a fun, healthy, and safe environment for everyone. Practices will be demanding, the athletes are expected to arrive on time, ready to practice hard, and with the desire to improve their game and help build team success. Games will be intense; everyone will be ready to compete at their highest level for themselves and their teammates. My primary goal as a coach this season is that every athlete improves their individual skills, contributes to the team success on and off the ice, and they have a ton of fun doing it!
In preparation for the upcoming season below is the list of tournaments we will be attending:
· Welland Little NHL Tournament (Niagara Falls) Nov. 14-16th
· Rams Showdown Nov. 28-30th
· Coco Lemay Tournament (Rockland) Dec. 5-7th
· Oshawa Cup (Oshawa) Jan. 9-11th
· Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament (East Gwillimbury) Jan. 29-Feb. 1st
