Warriors Win Blackburn Minor Hockey Peewee B Tournament

After an undefeated round robin against Leitrim 3, Nepean and Leitrim 6 it was on to the semis!
With great effort and execution Oshawa was dispensed by a score of 5-3.  This allowed The Warriors to face NGS, a team from the Cornwall area who had only given up 1 goal in their 4 tournament games.
A very tense game from start to finish. The Warriors opened the scoring and dominated play throughout but puckluck was absent. NGS tied the score late in the second. The third period saw chances at both ends with stellar goaltending.
Overtime solved nothing, so on to the shootout. Both teams’ second shooter were successful. (Way to go Joel “ace”Bailey!!) The next 6 were not as fortunate. Ryan “beezer” Bumbala stood tall and stoned 6 consecutive NGS shooters. With the game on the line Jacob “the Scroket” Skrok calmly found the low corner he knew was there. The very well attended stands went crazy and the coaching staff took their first breath in 12 mins. Way to go Warriors!
