As a coach, convenor, manager, trainer, fundraiser, on-ice helper, timekeeper, or part of the SMHA council - the time and effort you put ...In honour of National Volunteer Week, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hundreds of volunteers who help make the SMHA run so smoothly. As a coach, convenor, manager, trainer, fundraiser, on-ice helper, timekeeper, or part of the SMHA council - the time and effort you put into the association is invaluable.
The theme for this year’s campaign is “Volunteers are the roots of strong communities”. This theme could not be more true and appropriate when speaking about our community. Year after year we see hundreds of enthusiastic hockey volunteers step up without question or appeal. This continued commitment and loyalty is what makes our association one of the most successfully run programs in all of Ottawa and the surrounding area. We also have the best logo in my opinion - GO RAMS GO!
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the entire SMHA, to formally express our gratitude to all the awesome volunteers.
We look forward to seeing you again next season.
