Atom A1 Blades of Steel Win 9th Annual Green Mountain Avalanche Tournament

Atom A1 Blades of Steel (BoS) took gold at last weekend’s 9th Annual Jay Peak - Green Mountain Avalanche Tournament.

After tying their 2nd game against the SWS Chiefs (2-2), the BoS needed to win each of their next 2 games by a 6 goal differential to break the tie and keep their championship hopes alive.

Great team work and excellent goal tending resulted in them winning both these games (7-1 and 8-0), eliminating the Americans, and securing their spot in an all Canadian final against the Lakeshore Leopards from Montreal.

In the end, their determination proved too much for the Lakeshore Leopards, winning the final 7-2 and taking home their 2nd tournament GOLD this season.
