Down but not out, the Stittsville Thunder had their work cut out for them after a mediocre 1 win, 1 loss start to this highly competitive tournament.

On day two, neither freezing rain nor crosstown venues could slow this team down. They rallied back, winning 3 in a row, earning themselves the coveted opportunity to play in the championship match at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Inspired by the horde of RAMS players and parents that came out to cheer them on, the Stittsville Thunder went on to defeat the Southend Canada Geese taking the championship by a score of 4-2 and winning the tournament with a record 5 wins, 1 loss, 23 goals for, 7 goals against and a quarter final shutout.
