A Message From The SMHA President

 

Hope everyone is keeping well and adjusting to the new norm as we know it today.

 

For me, it really hit home this past weekend not showing up at JLA for an early morning practice & staying around after to socialize with families in our Hockey programs. Hockey is part of Stittsville's DNA, these are definitely unprecedented times.

 

Our association has been following the communication & direction of Hockey Canada and will continue to keep you up to date as we move through this together. At this point our Executive have postponed the following events originally scheduled in April;

 

- Stittsville Minor Hockey - Annual General Meeting

- Volunteer Appreciation Night.

 

Please note that our intention is to still hold these events when its appropriate to do so as they are both equally important to our Association.

 

Lastly, we are holding off on returning any equipment (jersey's, puck bags etc.) until further notice. Our convenors will be in touch once we are able to do so.

Its important to note, that we have so many great resources in Stittsville that can help keep our "Future Stars" active while we navigate through this difficult time. In addition to the active SMHA Families we have in our community, Hockey Canada has available online content related to improving fitness through off-ice training.....please refer to the below link.
