The Stittsville U15 A2 - Goal Diggers are the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament Champions!
Making up for the Christmas COVID shutdown and tournament cancellations, both Stittsville U15 A teams decided to hit the road and head to Bradford sneaking in one last away tournament before the end of the season.
Aside from the 4-hour drive to play in the same tournament, against the same competition… staying in the same hotel provided the perfect opportunity for these frenemies and their parents to bond and enjoy the game they love.
Both Stittsville teams made it to the semi-finals undefeated with Stittsville A1 having the goal average advantage. After 2 nail-biting one goal wins in the semi-finals, the inevitable transpired and Stittsville met Stittsville in the final. Despite a disallowed goal and a very late and questionable too many men penalty Stittsville A2 - Goal Diggers were able to bring home their 2nd trophy with a 4-3 win, remaining unbeaten in tournament play this season.
