Specific Volunteer Roles Available

There are several management council roles that SMHA requires volunteers for; they are:

Risk and Safety Officer – SMHA is looking for an individual who would like to take on the Risk and Safety Officer role.  This person is resposible for several areas under the Risk and Safety umbrella.  The RSO works with the Registrar to ensure that PRC's are complete for all SMHA volunteers.  The RSO is also part of the suspension and discipline team and takes part in hearings and investigation when required.  If you are interested in this role please email the VP Support Services at vpsupportservices@stittsvilleminorhockey.com

Sponsorship Coordinator – SMHA requires a volunteer to help the association with its sponsorship goals.  This job is vital to help keep the cost of hockey affordable for all who want to play.  To volunteer for this role please email the VP Finance at vpfinance@stittsvilleminorhockey.com

Tournament Coordinator – SMHA runs several house tournaments throughout the hockey season.  These tournaments require someone to spearhead the organization effort.  The tournaments for this season are already scheduled so now is a great time to get involved and test the waters on whether you would like to be involved.  If you are interested in this role please email the current tournament coordinator at tournaments@stittsvilleminorhockey.com.  We also need volunteers to help with our upcoming tournament weekends.  Please see the details here.

Webmaster – SMHA is looking for someone interested in getting involved with the administration of the SMHA webpage and associated IT systems, email, DNS, Surveys etc.  This person should have an interest in web admin and content management, but coding or web design experience is not required.  The role is currently filled so mentoring and an extended hand-over is available.  If you are interested in this role please email the VP Support Services at vpsupportservices@stittsvilleminorhockey.com

Assistant Registrar - SMHA would also like to add someone to help with the duties of our registrar.  This role is crucial as the registrar is responsible to vet all new registrations, approve rosters and tournament travel permits.  We are looking for someone to work along side our current registrar on these tasks.  If you are interested in this role please email the VP Support Services at vpsupportservices@stittsvilleminorhockey.com

RAMS Competitive Program Equipment Manager - The RAMS Competitive program is looking for an equipment manager.  This person will be responsible for overseeing all RAMS competitive equipment needs, game jerseys, tryout jerseys, pucks and various other items.  There are already mature processes in place and experienced people to help you get on board.  If you are interested in this role, please email the Director of Competitive at directorcompetitive@stittsvilleminorhockey.com
