The Novice A Vipers take the Cup in Napanee!

In 3 days, on 3 different ice pads, 300km away from home...The Stittsville Vipers went Undefeated to take the cup in Napanee. Scoring 27 goals, 1 shut out, the team would hang on to the end to take GOLD!

In game one the vipers got the tournament off with a bang. They defeated The Nepean Bombers 8-4.  Battling for our goals were Tyler,Gregory,Ryan D ,Max and Grady with The hat trick. 
They were assisted by Ryan M ,Remy, Connor D ,Ethan ,Trevor and Conner H. It was no easy win as a Vipers would later face the Bombers in the final for the championship.
 
The Vipers second game put them up against the hometown favourites, Napannee Stars. With Grady scoring five and defensemen Remy adding the sixth goal, they won 6-2.
 
Ethan Shane carried his team to a 9-0 shutout victory in game 3 against Prince Edward County. His defense Nathan ,Trevor ,Evan and Remy held strong on the blue line to help with the shutout. 
All the other boys got on the game sheet with goals or assists. It was a real team win!
 
Going into the semifinals undefeated they met up with the Nepean Aces and the Vipers took this game 8-3. Game 4 saw another hat trick by Grady, 2  goals for Max, defenseman Trevor chipping in offensively and 
Tyler and Ryan M making it 8.
 
Advancing to the finals with a 4-0 record the Vipers faced the relentless Nepean Bombers once again. It was a hard fought first period with the Vipers netting the only goal of the period.
The bombers tied it up at the half-way point in the second. Breaking the tie was Grady, Assists from Conner H and Remy kept us ahead with  Ryan and Max burying the final 2 pucks for the 6-2 win.
 
It was a great weekend in the Napanee tournament. Not only did the boys take home the gold but they built friendships around the pool that can never be replaced.
