2nd Annual Food Bank Fundraiser for SMHA was a Success

Christmas is for giving and the SMHA House Division represented by Mike Clarkson donated a cheque for $3,003.50 on December 15thin support of the Stittsville Food Bank as they prepared to deliver Christmas Hampers to Family's in need in our community.

SMHA hockey teams called upon our community during fundraising events and business for sponsor support. We always receive excellent support from residents and businesses within our community and the December15th donation was a small token of appreciation from the SMHA House Division.

There are many kids that do not have the luxury to play organized sports like hockey in our community.  However, donations from organization such as SMHA have helped those children have an enjoyable Christmas day meal in our community. We had 18 teams out of 55 House teams particiapte in this event and I would like to thank those teams and coaches for there support.

Midget division 7 teams participate raising $905.00.
Bantam Division 8 teams participate raising $1086.50.
Peewee division 2 teams participate raising $400.0.
Atom Division 1 team participate raising $612.00.

As the organizer of this Fundraiser I would like to thank Mike Clarkson, Ryan Goodwin, Teams, Coaches, Parents and Players for the outstanding support in this worthy cause.
