Sat. Aug. 19th - 9 Run Run Road Race Closures

The race begins at Sacred Heart Heart High School on Abbot St.  Many local streets and roads will be closed during the race.

• As this is a timed event, the entire route will be closed while the participants are still on the course
• Abbott Street West will close at approx 07:00 am to allow the race organizers time to set up the structure for the start/finish line
• The remaining road closures will commence just prior to the start of the event (approx 08:55 hrs) and will re-open once the last runner has passed each location

Road Closure Details

Abbott Street West (both directions) will be closed from Stittsville Main Street to Westridge Dr from approx 07:00 to 12:00.  This road closure is necessary to allow for the construction of the Start/Finish Line structure and the start and finish of the 10K and Half Marathon races.  It will be re-opened after the last runner has crossed the finish line and the structure removed from the roadway.

Stittsville Main Street (both directions) from Abbott St to Fernbank Rd will be closed from approx 08:50 to 09:30 hrs for the start of the 10K and Half Marathon races.  The roadway will re-open once the last Half Marathon runner has passed by Fernbank Rd.

Fernbank Rd (both directions) will be closed from Stittsville Main St to Westridge Dr from approx 08:55 to 09:30 for the 10K.  The roadway will re-open once the last 10k runner is on Westridge Dr.

Westridge Rd (northbound) will be closed from Fernbank to Abbott St from approx 08:55 hrs to 12:00.  The road may reopen up to Bell St once the last 10k runner has passed Bell St.  Westridge and Abbott will be closed for the duration of both the 10k and Half Marathon events.

Stittsville Main St (southbound only) will be closed from Fernbank Rd to Flewellyn Rd from approx 08:50 to 09:45 hrs for the start of the Half Marathon.  It will be re-opened once the last runner has turned onto Flewellyn Rd

Flewellyn Rd (west bound only) will be closed from Main Street to Munster Rd approx 09:15 to 11:15 hrs  It will be re-opened once the last runner has turned onto Munster Rd.

Munster Rd (northbound lane only) will be closed from Flewellyn Rd to Fernbank Rd from approx 09:30 to 11:15 for the Half Marathon.  It will be re-opened once the last runner has turned onto Fernbank Rd

Fernbank Rd will be closed from Munster Rd to Jinkinson Rd from approx 09:30 to 11:30 for the Half Marathon.  It will be re-opened once the last runner has turned onto Jinkinson Rd

Jinkinson Rd (both directions) will be closed from Fernbank Rd to a location north of the Trans Canada Trail(turn around point)  from approx. 09:30 to 12:00 hrs for the Half Marathon.  It will re-open once the last runner is on the Trans Canada Trail.
