PeeWee Storm Hawks

The Storm Hawks arrived in South Stormont for a one day Pee Wee C tournament. The team got off to a great start by crushing the  Kanata Krushers 7-3 thanks to 5 goals from Ethan. The next game was against a local team from Charlan. The Storm Hawks played a strong game with some outstanding goaltending by Kyle but still lost by one goal with a score of 2-1. This put the Storm Hawks into the B division playoffs against the same Charlan team they had just lost to. The Storm Hawks came out strong and had a 2-1 lead late into the third period but unfortunatly gave up a late goal and regular play ended in a 2-2 tie. After no scorring in a 5 min overtime period the game went to a shootout. Each team sent 3 players and both team goalies denied all attempts to score. Storm Hawks goalie Kyle robbed Charlan's 4th shooter with a brilliant pad save while the Storm Hawks 4th shooter, Brayden, finally beat the Charlan keeper to lift the Storm Hawks to a shootout win and the B division Championship.
