Ice Hawks are Champions @ 2013 S.M.H.A. Novice Tournament

With memories of their past tournament dancing in their heads, the Ice Hawks met their rival Stittsville Novice C teams head on and “got the cookie”.

Playing four games over two days, the team provided fast-paced excitement for their families, friends and fans from near and far. Being halfway through winter holidays didn’t seem to bother the boys too much as their skating legs and hockey spirits quickly responded to the demands of the tournament and the playing of unfamiliar positions.

With heartfelt cheers that raised the roof of their barn, the Ice Hawks filled the locker room with laughter, fellowship and camaraderie – not to mention new equipment.

Thanks to all the coaches, trainers, parents, siblings, fans and of course the players themselves.

The team competes next at the North Dundas Minor Hockey Association Novice House Tournament on January 10, 2014.
