Within the last 24 hours I've been made aware of numerous emails being sent from a "phony email address" pretending to be me.
Email addresses such as emailonlineoffice211@gmail.com claiming to be from “Rob Lomas” with messages such as:
"Hi, I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to touch base and see when you might have some time to talk. Please let me know a time that works best for you to connect."
Further requests such as:
"I'm putting together something special for a few of our staff members and wanted to ask whether you might be willing to help me pick up a few gift cards today. If that works for you, I’ll be sure to have you reimbursed later this week."
Please note that these are NOT from the SMHA. We (the Executive) will never ask you to make any such purchase. If you receive an email from anyone claiming to be me, or anyone else from the Executive, please reach out directly using the email addresses found on the SMHA website, and then delete the message. Please do not action any request you receive via email.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
SMHA President
Rob Lomas
